How to care for your leather watch straps.

Did you know that leather watch straps are sensitive to light and heat? The more you expose them to the sun the darker they will get! The best way to keep your watch straps looking as good as the day you got them is to avoid prolonged sun exposure, and to carefully clean them every 2 weeks.

The best way to clean them is to wipe the leather with a soft cotton cloth to remove the dirt build up on the straps. Moisture from day to day wear can build up and cause damage. Using a cloth to wipe them will prevent any further damage and remove the build up of grime.
After that you should pat down the leather with a soft, damp cloth and put a pea size dot of mild hand soap on the cloth once it is damp. Make sure the soap is evenly distributed in the cloth to prevent the soap from staining the leather. Use circular motions to clean both sides of the strap, starting at one end and slowly moving to the other. Repeat this until you can no longer see any dirt residue.
After you carefully cleaned it, get a new damp cloth to remove the soap and let your watch straps air dry over night. Do not wear your watch straps while they are damp as it could damage them.
Doing this process will make sure your watch straps are clean and well maintained to keep them looking pristine for as long as possible!
